Blood Spattered Comfort Food

So, yesterday while digging through studio stuff I found my cd player and patti smith cd's! omg I forgot how much I love her. ^___^ yey!

And! My paint and flour covered cd books. (which are just as weird a mix as my itunes. :P) And Pinetop Seven! and Tantra Lounge! and Sigur Ros! and all those crazy local bands I like supporting! (~_^) yey! ^___^ *dances around*

Now if I can just find that Child Ballad mix I know I've got somewhere, I can happily finish my current worklist and get a start on Red Riding Hood's Grandma's Cottage. :D

And speaking of dolls, Note to coyote_eyes: I won't have He Who Shall Not be Named Due To Jinxing Tendencies finished this evening, but I'll probably bring him to work on at A&C this afternoon. ^____^v (dang tricksters)

And finally? Clean House + Clean Laundry + Clean Jane = SO MUCH HAPPY. yus. ^_^

I should totally make bread today.

Edit: also also, if you happen to be in Madison and have nothing to do and want to get out? I could totally use company while I'm working on my list. I... don't think I've actually talked to anyone other than my cats since Friday? D: Hermit!Jane is hermitish. Like a crab I am yummy and squishy under my shell.

Also, I might bake if I have someone to bake for. And we all know how good a bribe that is. ~_^ (I'm thinking cinnamon raisin bread and this baked trifle pudding recipe Jen showed me on Friday. It's like, Cake + Pudding + Flan! omg! ^__^)

With renovations drawing to a close, we're mostly moved into the studio and unpacked (complete with a hot tea station!)

To celebrate the grand opening of the new home of PointyKitty Studios and Blackbird Marmalade Creations, we'll be hosting a group exhibition by Art & Chocolate, a local arts collective, called "East of the Sun, West of the Moon," a visual interpretation of the Norwegian version of an old Scandinavian fairy tale as collected by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe.

Come and join us for an evening of women-made art, refreshments, and arts camaraderie!

This is pretty much what I did today. Not a whole lot and I still have a little bit of detailing to do before I bake her. but yay!! ^___^

On a sucky note, I left a space heater on near my clay and half of it got ruined. :( :( :( major suckage!! ;____;

But on the other hand, I remembered that I happen to have a good bit of clay still here at home that I haven't brought over to the studio yet. *whew*

I'm gonna brush my teeth and go to bed now. I'm sure you all wanted to know that. :P

I got lots of stuff done at work. I still have a bin of mending to do tomorrow when we're slow. I kinda need to get a move on with that as it's getting rather slow.

Watched episode 2 of Ashes to Ashes and my girl crush is still there. *sigh* Now I've got to watch the rest of them. ^___^

Had a lovely time at Art&Chocolate. I finished 33 pairs of hands and measured out the arm wires for attaching them to the bodies. I'm gonna have armatures coming out my ears soon. I need to get some hunter armatures prepped so I can have a variety of sizes to work from.

Finished another hunter and a crowthing imp. I've got another crowthing to sew skin on and finish up, but he's halfway done, at least.

I've got 2 owlthings and a wolfthing hunter in process. ^_^ two of those are commissioned and one I just want to make.

I got a birthday package from strangemodegirl!!! ^____^ She sent me some imps I've wanted to try (hanami and red queen!!) and a bottle of Goblin!! *EEEEEEEeeEEE!!* I love Goblin! ^__^ It's like fresh dirt and is made of awesome! *squishes the Amyness* I am now over my bottle quota and need to paint a GC bottle box! the horror! whatever shall I do? *hand to forehead* ~_^

Also, suibhne_geilt sold another story and I am so proud of him! whee! *does a dance* so fabulous!

hmmm.... Mim and I are washing the dishes. and then it's my laundry for me and trying out a new system for the litterbox. I swear this summer I'm going to make things easier on myself. *crosses fingers*

And tomorrow, I wash my torn jeans in preparation for turnign them into skirts of DOOM to go with my faerie tale boots. yus.

Tonight was lovely and I worked on my faerie tale boots while Kat and Cathy worked on their stuff. ^_^ and I made brownies. yey!

I'm really tired, since I've been staying up and working on things, trying to get my mojo back a bit. Except I'm trying to get it back in an organized-ish manner and that's hard. *sigh*

My brain is filled with mushy little bits of wet confetti that are bleeding colours on each other. I want a pepsi.
