Blood Spattered Comfort Food

reader222 and her sweetie had their 15 year vow renewal this afternoon and it was lovely and I got to see people I love and eat bbq. ^__^ yey!

suibhne_geilt drove me and the cakes for the reception down from Madison and we made it with no cake mishaps! ^_^ yay! also, apparently I have not lost my cake mojo the past couple years of not baking. :P

Then awesome folks drove me out of their way to rescue the DoomCar from the mechanic's dungeon. And followed me back to a rest stop so I could catch a nap before driving the rest of the way home. ^______^ so much ♥!

So today was spent with awesome people, insomnia and driving. IS SO SICK OF DRIVING THANKS. D:

I also realized just how stressed I was this past week with my car three hours away in another state. :/ I actually feel like catching up on my commission list and making a few new designs ^___^ yay! (and maybe I'll sleep tonight? I can hope? *sigh*)

Also, I made a very fluffy salmandar for Corin and he made batnoises which for some inexplicable reason always makes me happy. ^__^ Also, I saw Windfarms!! I *love* Windfarms! They also inexplicably fill me with :D :D :D YEY! My perfect house is built near a Windfarm. ^____^

Anywhoo, I have a fabulous armature to put a head on now ^__^ (and some movies to watch while I do so! whee!)

Me and dreamling are going out to lunch and then shall be making with the artination! yay!

I'm not sure if we'll be heading over to the studio or not or just hanging out at a coffee shop or coming back to the house. D: That shall be decided once my brain starts working due to a heavy dose of grease and fried things an lots of SmartWater for me. (ow. my stomach.)

But! yay art! I think I'm going to work on some 2D stuff today. Maybe I can scan them in later and share the doodles. *doodles*

In other news, it is gloriously beautiful out and I have the door open so the kitties can enjoy it too! (and my apartment can air out a bit. D:)

Tomorrow I'm doing laundry and heading to the studio to work on languishing projects and hopefully finish the few that have armatures finished! ^__^

Ever have one of those days when words just don't seem to mean what you think they should mean? or just don't seem right even though you're almost sure it's right?? yus. that's this whole week. D: D: AAAH!

Also? These dolls make me feel simultaneously intimidated and inspired. I especially love this one. omg the technique and detail and skill level are so so so gorgeous. And! She's got a WIP page! ^__^ I love watching creative processes. It's fascinating and fabulous! (and most of the time I learn a lot!)

This is absolutely Reason #1 I would really like to take classes and have some sort of formal art education. :/ (yes, I know it's what you make of it and all successful artists make it their own. But there really is something to say about a formal education and sometimes I feel things would be a little less hard if I had one. *meh*)

Here's what i got done this weekend.





yus. Ibn has been really missing suibhne_geilt as he's been motorcycling around the continent the past week, so I decided to take advantage of the cooler temperatures downstairs and watch anime while I made critters and had a big assed cat in my lap. :P

I think I might have a few up on etsy in a couple days. I only have to take pictures of 3 of them and I can post those. 2 are commissioned and the other 4 still need to be baked and clothed. And then I've got 7 more armatures to sculpt heads for before I start the whole process over again. ^___^

Also, due to the massive amounts of sitting on my ass I've done this week, I'm itching to ride Bessie in to work tomorrow! I might even take pictures of my fabulously beautiful commute in if I get up early enough. ^___^
